Planning a vacation? Here are 3 recommended Yoga Retreats / Festivals that are definitely on the bucket list and why.

1. The first recommended Yoga Festival/s come from the Wanderlust Movement. If you head over to the Wanderlust Movement  website at www.wanderlust.com you will see the events that are on on all over the world. They are on every year and at different times of the year. You may not even have to travel. The next event, at the time of writing this, happens to be in my home country Australia, on The Sunshine Coast in the State of Queensland and in unison with "Food Matters" health inspiration Movement. I have visited the Sunshine Coast on numerous occasions and definitely recommend it as a 'bucket list' destination. At The Wanderlust Events you can rejuvenate from the inside out. Sometimes on vacation it is simply the external experience that prevails. However, the mind, body and spirit internal and external experience is evident at these type of Retreats and Festivals. That's a definite advantage!

2. Blue Spirit Yoga Retreat Centre in Costa Rica is the next recommendation here. I heard about this venue and Retreat Centre from my USA friend David Ellzey who actually taught a 4 day Yoga Retreat Event at the Centre back in 2012.  Its location is quite unique (see image on the left) and was developed by Omega Institute NY, USA. 3. The third and final yearly Yoga Festival is The Sedona Yoga Festival in Sedona AZ, USA. It usually happens in February each year. I have visited Sedona on many occasions and it really does have a very peaceful natural presence and 'feel' to it where it is situated amidst the red rock mountains. Furthermore, that is even before you begin any inner transformation exploration such as Yoga !  You can check the Festival from this website link : www.sedonayogafestival.com

How to Create Your Own Yoga Drink Coasters

1. The image on the left here, is of laminated cardboard AND/OR an old coaster with the laminated cardboard attached to it with double sided tape. 

2. Simply grab yourself some coloured cardboard and cut it out in the shape of an old coaster.

3. Choose your favourite Yoga images from google images, print them and cut them out. Or type your favourite Yoga quote.

4. Place images on your card board that has been cut out in the shape of your old coaster. 

5. Laminate the cardboard and attached image and/or inspirational quote/text (which I have on the above images) No laminator?? Try some clear contact instead. Trim the laminated cardboard so the corners are rounded and act as a clear border. (see above images)

6. You can just use the finished laminated cardboard if you wish as a coaster, or attach it to an old coaster with double sided tape. 

7. Get creative with this, use different coloured cardboard or plain, use images, use just text or match your decor.

Relax ~ Release ~ Rejuvenate ~ Renew ~ Repeat.

Relaxation is an opportunity for the mind to clear, rest and be 'at peace'. Can you allow yourself to 'take a moment', no matter where you may be, and have a little 'relax". Here's how!

1. Can you just stop? Pause ..... and really check right now, if you can hear that snail slithering through the grass? Notice the 'busyness of mind', has to subside in order to really 'listen to a snail slithering' or an ant building its nest. A quietness prevails. Tune into that quietness anytime you want a break from 'over thinking' and simply allow the shoulders to drop and relaaaaax!

2. What is it, that is aware of thinking? (Possible answers could be: the mind, me or my brain.) So what is aware of the mind, me, or my brain? What is aware of that awareness? The aim here is to "empty" the answers so the mind can pause .... from its thinking and thinking .... and notice the stillness and silence beyond. You can extend that period of stillness/quietness and see if you can notice it for 10 secs to 30 secs, 1min, 10 mins, 20 mins etc. Empty out the busy-ness and welcome that fullness !

Workout for your wedding anyone ?

The uniquely designed clothing images on the left were created to honour the wedding of Pippa Middleton, the well known sister of Princess Kate who is now married to Prince WIlliam. 

Prior to her wedding day on Saturday, 20th May, 2017, Pippa was reported to have joined for a lifetime membership at "Grace Belgravia" which is the first women-only Private Members Club in London. The Club has its own integrated Medical and Wellbeing Clinic. In addition, "Grace Belgravia" has a spa, gym, health and food bar,  and holds dynamic events as well as spa retreats. It seems Pippa's aim was for wedding fitness !!

The "Roses" t shirt and yoga leggings in the images here were designed with pre and post wedding workout clientele in mind and these roses last a lifetime !! They could be gifted as an engagement present or even a 'honeymoon accessory" for any recreation/leisure activities such as yoga and meditation that  bring forth even more of those "loving and peaceful" feelings.

3 Top Tips to Experience The Calm and Relaxation of Lavender (even when travelling.)

1. Grab a ziplock sandwich bag and place 4 tablespoons of Epsom Salts/ Himalayan Salt Crystals and add 4 drops of Young Living Lavender Essential Oil. Massage/shake the oil through the salt. Place mixture in a small bowl - on bedside table of your home, or hotel room. Lavender enhances calm, relaxation and peaceful sleeping. It also allows your room to smell fresh and clean!

2. Get a wooden peg and add 4 drops of Young Living Lavender  Essential Oil. Let it soak into the peg. Place the peg (as many as you want) on the coat hangers in your wardrobe. Clothes smell fresh and clean. You could also do this with the clothes/coat hangers in your hotel room. 

3. Take a bottle of Young Living Essential Oil with you when travelling. Request a cup of hot water and add 1 drop of lavender oil for a delicious lavender tea and have a peaceful flight !! Young Living Essential Oil is CERTIFIED for food and drink ingestion.

Why Allow it to be EFFORTLESS ?

1. Usually ... you cannot have tension in the body/mind and experience "effortlessness" at the same time ! Allow yourself to notice this when ever any 'tension arises'  throughout the day.... then notice "What is beyond this feeling of tension?"  

2. If it is EFFORLESS it is usually lighter, free-er, and more 'open' .... it is expansion ! Rather than constricted, forced or '"tight". Simply noticing the difference in repeating these words will allow you to notice , the freedom beyond any "stress".

3. Simply PAUSE, and stop for a moment. . .  Now, can you allow yourself to notice the silence beyond the "thinking" (either , I can or I can't ) and just allow 'movement' to happen .. allowing the body/mind to simply flow .... and  just be !
